The Hacker grammar exercise is very helpful for me. I learned that Use a good and clear sentences are very important when you write a paragraph and articles. Your sentences build up with good grammar structures and clearly and directly words which is good. Write on sentence is not only just writing one sentence because you need to consider more about this sentence. Use correct faulty parallelism, such as in this sentence --I do not enjoy thinking or running (correct) but if you write I do not enjoy thinking or run, which is incorrect sentence. The other thing I want to talk about is person and number. We have the same pronunciation in Chinese about he/ she, also, we just only use you, we, our, they, I when we talk about people. However, it always made me confused to recognize the first person, second person and third person. Also, Choppy sentences are very useful to, because it was good to know some of the new way to express things. If you just repeat to use same grammar structures and same words in your essay, no one wants to read your essay. Good writer is an good thinker.

Definition: Similarity of structure in a pair or series of words, phrases or clauses.

The Comma is to help readers to avoid misreading about the sentence. Without it, sentence parts will become another unexpectedly meaning. Also, the comma is used for separate complex grammatical structures.

This story is about one girl called Tizoc, she just has an amazing adventure.

Tizoc adventure
Long ago, there is a person from India called Tizoc; she lived in a stone house with her parents. Because she lives far away from the town center, where is inconvenient to buy food and things. So they have to feed some domestic animals such as duck, pig, and chicken and so on. Especially they feed many chickens in their home; Tizoc and she’s parents are very like to listen roosters crowing every morning and to see hens give birth to many chicks.
There has a big and old chestnut tree beside her home. When Tizoc was a child, she likes to play with chicks under it. When she grows up she loves to write her dreams on the papers and put them into glass bottles and put up on branch. She hopes one day somebody will help all her dreams come true.
It’s close to her mother’s birthday. She went to downtown with a ruler want to buy some silk for her mother. She met an old black woman who has a pair of long and big ears; the woman showed her a colorful carpet. The girl loved it so much and she thinks her mother will like it very much. But when she wants to pay for it, she found that she may forget the wallet in her room, she only has some coins left. The woman saw Tizoc really like this carpet and said that the girl should only give some coins to her. When the girl left the woman’s store, the woman just said some strange words to her ‘The carpet can take kind people everywhere’. When she walked past the woman’s store, she wanted to ask the woman for the real meaning of these words, but the woman just disappeared.
One day she puts up her wish bottle on the tree as usual. Suddenly, a sudden gust of wind makes all her bottles bump together and sky turns dark. When she wakes up, she saw she was lying on the colorful carpet in one old ship. She felt unbelievable and passed out again. When wakes up again, she see many people was watching her and talk with some strange langrage. At this time one boy ask her where she comes from. She explained to him and told him she don’t know why she was in here. He told her she is in china now; they are never seen her race before. In order to find out how she can come back. The Chinese emperor use imperial jade seal to require engraver to use wooden to carve her head sculpture.

What Makes a Good Story
I am in group 2 and this is what we come up with.
1. Imagination: Being creative makes it more interesting to read, and more engaging.
2. Use of Language: proper grammar, and use of vocabulary to expand the readers knowledge.
3. Personal Experience: There's a truth behind the story.
4. Relatable: The reader can personally relate to the story or characters.
5. Details: Have enough descriptions to allow the reader to picture what is happening.
6. Topic: Stick to the topic and don't ramble about other things.
7. Pace: How fast the story moves shouldn't be to fast or to slow.
8. Special: a one of a kind story is more fun to read because you don't feel like you have read it before.
9. Pictures: make stories more fun, and easier to picture what the author is trying to describe.
10. Mystery: don't make the topic be extremely obvious. allow the reader to actually think about it and try to figure things out for themselves.
11. Introduction: Needs to catch your attention and make you want to keep reading to find out what happens.
12. Don't be repetitive: don't keep saying the same things over and over again in different ways.
13. Ending: don't leave the reader hanging unless there is another book that follows it.
14. Emotion: The ability to connect to the emotions of what is happening.

Who Am I
What do people write if they are asked the question:
“Who Am I?”
“Who Am I?”
“Who am I” is a simple question for these people who just give some objective information like their name, age, nationality, etc. However, if you think deeply about who am I, many people feel confusing about who they really are. Many people say about something but it may totally different than their thinking, they want to do something but finally they may give up just because they consider to much. People face many problem in today's society, they have to hide themselves in order to live better. Therefore, I think people in most times can't tell others who their really are!
